There's a pretty extensive menu at Diesel Cafe. Try a maple latte or an iced Vietnamese. Bakery items include scones, muffins, croissants, and sticky buns. They also have bagels, a breakfast burrito, and avocado toast. Fruit smoothies are also healthy and refreshing. You can even purchase ground coffee in 12-ounce bags to take home. Diesel is open every day from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with dine-in and online ordering.

Cafe Zing

Not only can you sip a fresh cup of fair-trade coffee at Cafe Zing, but you can also find a good book to read at Porter Square Books. The cafe serves a variety of teas as well as locally-made pastries, scones, muffins, and other pastries from local bakeries. Lunch is served starting at 10:30 a.m. The sandwiches are delicious, but the Vietnamese fresh rolls are the star of the show. The cafe is open daily from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. except on weekends when they open at 8:00 a.m. Check the calendar about upcoming author visits, readings, and other events at the shop.
